Vriska cosplay update. :) I got my contacts today, yay! it’s gonna take a looooot of time to get used to those hahaha. And some makeup test. My tweaked roboarm is still WIP and looks too dim in that photo. Anyhow, it shall be quite freakin’ awesome when I’m done with the colors.

- So I ended up telling my six-year-old niece a little bit about Homestuck, when she saw me drawing Vriska and asked who she was. I told her she was an alien girl who is mean to her friends. I drew Gamzee later and this explanation happened.
- Peyton: Is that the mean girl again?
- Me: No, this is Gamzee.
- Peyton: Who's that?
- Me: Another bad guy.
- Peyton: How is he bad?
- Me: He kills people.
- Peyton: How come?
- Me: Well, he eats these pies all the time that make him really happy, but then he runs out of them and gets really mad.
- Peyton: Oh.
“Hey, look at me! I’m pretty gr8 too!!!!!!!!”
Because Vriska would have TOTALLY been a Snowman fan, if given the chance.
In ‘[S] Seer: Descend’, we catch a glimpse of some tapestries in a main room.
The one on the far left is obviously John’s symbol, for his Heir of Breath godhead state. The one on the right is Aradia’s, the Maid of Time’s godhead state. The one second-to-the-right is Vriska’s symbol. The second to the left is unknown.
On our way back, we see that that the tapestries have been ripped apart—all except one.
Why leave that single one standing? Jack wasn’t able to bring himself to kill Jade—does this mean that this symbol is somehow related to her? And why show only these four symbols in the first place? Does this mean that these are the only ones that will ever achieve this state? Is it a reference to the four humans, and an implication that the symbols somehow correspond to them even though they correspond to other titles, as well? I could buy that with John, and maybe Dave (since Aradia also messes around with time,) but what about Rose and Jade? What’s Vriska’s title again—is her role related to Rose’s? And if that last symbol is Jade, then does that mean she’ll reach her godhead? And if it doesn’t then, whose symbol is it?
Note: Vriska’s sun and various other important symbols in Homestuck are seen in Jade’s wardrobeifier, but the above remaining symbol is not one of them.
So what am I missing? Is this an actual question, or was there something I wasn’t paying attention to? :x
